We have taken a classic Victorian Gentleman?s residence and created a beautifully designed family owned and operated Hotel with an emphasis on comfort and friendliness. All our rooms have sumptuous handcrafted beds with Georgian and early Victorian antique furnishings. Our interior designers have carefully blended the traditional with the contemporary style. Our Relaxation Suite has Hot Tub, Sauna, Plunge Shower, Tanning Booth and Exercise Equipment. We have a lovely bar and Lounge with an open fire, often frequented by our two cats, Bella and Maud. After a quiet drink why not take Supper with us in our candle lit dining room? With unpretentious good food, a little light Jazz, Danny in the kitchen and Ella waiting on, Supper at Marmys is a truly enjoyable occasion. Marmadukes also own one of York?s most important buildings, the 700 year old Lendal Tower, a Scheduled Historic Monument in the heart of the City. Our Award Winning Chefs have two dining options for you either in our candle lit dining room here at Marmadukes, or in the City Centre at Harvilles. If you have time why not try both? Supper at Marmys If you?d like to take Supper with us at Marmadukes our Head Chef, Danny Ellis, prepares a very special table d'hôte menu which is available each evening between 6pm and 9pm. We can promise you a true taste of Yorkshire in our own candle lit dining room, with freshly prepared and locally sourced produce. We have an excellent wine list. Please book early. Harvilles Restaurant Headed by Chef John Griffiths, our Art Deco restaurant is one of Great Britain?s finest steak houses serving prime Aberdeen Angus beef, whilst our Champagne & Oyster Cellar is an intimate venue for meeting friends and enjoying seafood. Harvilles is open 7 days a week and we can arrange a complimentary guest taxi to or from the Restaurant. Recreations On site: If you feel like chilling out for an hour or so, then head for our Relaxation Suite where you will find a Sauna, Hot Tub, Plunge Shower, Tanning Booth, Exercise Equipment and MTV. The Relaxation Suite is open everyday from 7am to 9pm. Towels are provided. Marmadukes has free parking available on a first come first served basis.
